On my channel currently I cover everything there is to know about Star Wars Empire at War. From tutorials, to ship showcases, to Top 5's there is plenty of knowledge to be learned!
My Discord link can be found in the description of my videos of you are looking to chat with me!
I usually keep him at Rendilli with two advanced medium cruiser dockyards to quickly fill my fleet with Vindicator cruisers, Gladiator I Star Destroyers, VSD Is, Loronar Strike cruisers, Ton Falks, Dreadnaughts, and don't bother bringing him to the Maw
I use him for massproduction the ISD 2s at Kuat and you can create a full fleet in less then 15 min if you have the money best hero in the game in my opinion 11/10!
@@honorless1719 haha I appreciate it! I most likely won’t be doing another campaign till fall of the clone wars comes out but the moment that comes out it should be daily! You looking forward to that mod?
With this game in development, here's a list of a few other clone units they should consider putting in: 13th Battalion "Iron Battalion" 332nd Division Trauma's unit Muunilinst 10 442nd Siege Battalion 187th Legion Jet's unit Horn Company Keeli's company Fil's squad Space units: Gold squadron Shadow squadron Red squadron Blue squadron 22nd Air Combat Wing 127th Gunship Wing
Every Imperial player believes themselves to be an Admiral like Thrawn, or Piet, or Tarken, maybe even Lord Vader. The more accurate description would be Ozzel.
@@Marinealver I mean to be fair bro fr said he though the element of suprise would have been better and died for it and tbh it’s a fair assessment we all could have done the same thing
Ozzel is a (good) garrison hero blocking any erly attacks by AI! And this is very important because if you lose Eriadu or Sullust the rebels get too fast access to the Duantless class cruiser.
Definitely worth it. Free ISD alongside Vader; realistically 2 ISD's is enough and the rest of the fleet should be smaller ships. Not having to pay for that second ISD makes assembling an early breakout fleet far more easy.
I am reminded that the main reason he was put under Vader was both so an eye could be kept on him i believe And neither Vader nor the Emporer thought he would be dumb enough to do anything under Vaders command He has also been serving since the Clone Wars at least and uh Is not even remotely a good commanding officer in any regard
@captonx2 yeah definitely Granted under Vader they could have an excuse to get rid of him But they still didn't think ge would be dumb enough to go agaisnt him
I 100% agree with your take on the Arquitens. I so want them to be worth using, i want to build "lore accurate" fleets with arquitens screening for isds. But every single time i use the darn things they dissapoint me. Even worse is that there is an obvious lore accurate way to make them substantially more useful, at least early on. In most other media the arquitens is shown to carry at least a wing of fighters around. The arquitens at the start should carry a wing of v-wings, which you can then retrofit into the imperial variant (which is also buildable at the start) that comes with a wing of ties. Naturally an upgrade to Tie interceptors should be avaliable later to help the arquitens stay relevant. This would help a ton with the empire actually getting the swarms of ties you are supposed to have, while still leaving you with the necesary weakness of poor staying power. As it stands there is simply no reason other than quests to build them.
@@volodymyrboitchouk ya definitely a solid take especially since off the top of my head I can’t think of a unit that directly replaces what it offers, for during the mid and late game. Cause the mini star destroyers are good (vindicators) but they don’t completely do it but what do I know haha,
Yes, a hero that you have to babysit in battle otherwise he's not worth the money. I mean seriously Tashkin dies very quickly if you're not careful, even with normal infantry with blaster only!
I personally would give him more credit then that, your absolutely right anything can kill it but it’s speed can get it out of situations, you have to keep an eye on them but I think there worth using and if you lose them you lose them oh well
Absolutely! Still haven’t heard anything about jedis yet and the next previews is supposed to be more space units so may be a while before we find out about them
Is it just me or does it feel like the AI is less aggressive now? Started playing aotr years ago and i clearly remember having to fight for my life as the rebels and now I played a 300 cycle campaign on the new large map as them and the most problems i encounterd came from the hapes consortium lol. Empire was sending solo bellators to die vs fighter spam and interdictor and black sun was only annoying cause they would spam lucerhulks and full stacked ground defense. Playing on hardest difficulty also.
I would personally claim it’s the new map, I think the ai isn’t as tough simply cause they’re so spread out and if you play well you can zone them out easily
constructive criticism: I would try to build on the descriptions of the units rather than just reading off what the preview says. I find this just rehashes what we probably have already read, but that's just my opinion. Cheers
I totally get what you’re saying, and there’s plenty of reasons why I don’t do that, simply put this isn’t the video for that. If you’d like reasons as to why I don’t mind explaining but ya. Also thanks for being respectful cheers!
Now I'm just curious how the droid infantry will fare against these units. Could Bx commandos or evem droidikas stand up to them? If not then the only answer will be to overwhelm them with anti-infantry vehicles/large droids.
Yeah most likely its gonna be swarms of some units (enough Droidikas will still get through tbh) or anti infantry Which thinking about it idk what those might be as I can't fully remember atm
@captonx2 gotcha I also legit dont remember what the Spider Droids are geared towards but the smaller ones if anti infantry Uh, they would die very fast I feel
Deploy Barricade is in AotR but i think its specific to 1 group of Elite Rebel units Also i believe for the Galatic Marines those are Miniguns similar to what they use in Battlefront 2 Not Rocker Launchers
@captonx2 s'all good XD But yeah it's most likely the mini guns used by them that I feel are a bit more compact and stuff to be able to do that Excited to see this mod come out and will probably be an instance where I use a lot more infantry then I do in AotR I like mobility tbh ^^; which not for hit and runs just getting to a position fast for various things
@captonx2 same I especially am curious what all units we will see that aren't in AotR Though I feel that will be more Ground then Space units since a fair few of those are already in AotR being split among the 3 But how they function could differ
@@omega13whitelucario95 you’d be surprised I know they’ve got a lot of units. So ya plenty of different units, I’ll also be surprised cause I don’t have much of a clue what all is in it yet
@@captonx2 yeah I completely agree, as many units have certainly changed in the last half a year (Lictors, Corellian Battlecruisers, Imperial Escort Carriers, Tagge Battlecruisers, and likely many others that I can't think of).
We need a better understanding of banners and companions alignments. Ex: party members in top box - are they army generals ? Do there baners matter ? Meaning, can you have your banner as a general + Unit banners of a companion stack up ? . Idealy general will have a army banner + unit banners.. Also is it better to have 15% more damage or 20% less damage taken . There are some calculations that need to be done.
Is definitely been a lot laggier recently and as I continued to play this campaign it got worse, I highly recommend not playing the new grand campaign map with all of the planets as it lags but the others do not
9:45 what?! I bought Steam version of empire at war during summer sales for like 50 gryvnas that is like 1.5 dollars... I just thought: "wow, an old cool looking star wars game... It is my favorite bfme, but in space and i can play as guys with triangle ships and cool white armour!" And know its around 400 hours and i cant stop.... Playing as an Empire.
@@captonx2 i know rebels are strong with their extended shields. But strike cruiser saves the game. Eidolon is supposed to be a better version of strike cruiser but its ion torpedoes usually get kicked by pickets. While canons are... good. Cannons looks amazing. They never got intercepted or jammed, canons are reliable... Be like medium stun ion cannons! If you true imperial navy officer - use cannons! Rockets, missiles, torpedoes or zerg rush of starfiters... leave it for the others. Rain of turbolasers! This is what the Emperor's will looks like!
@@user-ky2xq6rv7w I actually agree with that assessment, I’m not a fan of the different missiles that arnt just torpedoes basically, I’m a big fan of strike cruisers
Playing aotr 2.11. i like nebulon b2. They are good against small ships with their rocket launchers. And of corse jamming torpedoes always useful. No matter how much screeners you have , somethings reaches your fragile exteral ISD shield generators.
When it comes to unit compositions, than I usually go for combined Arms Forces. 1 Stormtrooper Battalion, 1 Army Trooper Support, maybe 1 recon Squad or Shocktrooper, 2 Sabre Tank Teams and 1 2-M Team. Split them into two groups so that even if one Group dies I won't loose the whole unit. Been fairly effective most of the times. I generally ignore any Walker Unit, since they are just slow. If they'd be able to move sideways or backwards than I would use the more often, but Hover Tanks are just superior.
Ya that’s fair, Sabre tanks and 2ms are fantastic, take a look at commander Tashkin and other minor heroes from a moffs palace if you haven’t, the bonuses are fantastic as well
My favourite meme in that archive is this: When its 3AM and the rebels attack you with a fighter spam: I dont need sleep, I need lancers! Also i was even lucky enough to get one of my own memes added in to that archive
I THINK the problem with Endor mission is something to do with how it "adds" Objectives. Surely their is a SCRIPT somewhere to Separate "primary" and "secondary" Objectives yes? Cus as its stands ALL of those Objectives have to be done, otherwise it just Brakes. Like PRIMARY OBJETIVE should just be "destroy the rebel fleet", and everything else should just be a Secondary Objective for extra Money or something.
The unit seen at 7:33 is a reference to Spaceballs. Basically there's an extremally rare chance of one of the transports in a transport convoy to be the Eagle 5 flying winnebago from Spaceballs, it has a unique model and has extremally unique voicelines/audio. So essentially it's the loch ness monster of AOTR (even though it does exist, as I even saw it once on a youtube video, even the youtuber had no idea what it was).
EC Henry is a youtuber and fanon model maker akin to fractual sponge. He basically make ships that are either incredibly obscure in-universe like some random backround models or even concept art. Or he makes something new that would fit in-universe, bridging the gap of some ships. He recently did a design for a really cool looking imperial LAAT equivelant (unlike the IDT). He also made a design for a mon cala corvette, which is actually being used in Remake's upcoming update.
I absolutely love some of his Rebel fleet ships, and also love his remake of the old Star Destroyers (the ones that are smaller, but look simmilar to modern ISDs)
It’s nothing serious, it’s a very long story and not something I should be commenting on, I won’t even say what I know cause idk how true it all is and it’s been a year since I’ve heard anything aboutnitn
