Would that be fatal to other turret operators? I mean driver would be dead for sure but the tank itself is pretty massive, so I thought some of the turret crews would be safe..?
I remember reading a german commander giving his experience on using czech tanks with rivet plate armor vs welded german tanks. When using the czech tanks they got hit, the round didnt penetrate but the rivet went flying and blew an arm off from his comrade
Can you do a 5lb keg of black powder on top of a large dome or wrought Iron that is 1.5 and inches thick? I want to know if my D&D characters' plan will work.
In the view where things are colored based on speed, there's a timer on screen. It shows that this entire simulation covers 1 millisecond, so it would be far too fast to see in real time.
Could you do a PG-7m shaped charge vs a T72B3 hull at zero degrees, so that the angling doesn't help? Without ERA would be preferred, with if you're willing to do two simulations. Thanks
ok can u do 100mm steel (50mm rha+50hha) at angle of 60 with 20 mm DU at angle of 60 with ceramics(15mm angle 80, 7 lazers) and rubber (10mm angle 80, 7 lazers) against 120mm DU dm53 apfsds l55 gun at 1500m\s at distance of 1.5km (and u have seen how that armor works and its composite)
The question is , does this pen in WT ? I highly doubt , cause long 88 doesn't pen either . And I think this has a bit more punch than the French 90mm .
I tested it in wt when he announced the video and commented "Just tested this in war thunder low pen chance without track on the ufp and no chance with track on ufp. It will be fun to see if its completely off or somewhat accurate when the sim is out." And it seems like war thunder was pretty accurate
This took 70 hours to compute and even then it still wouldn't be enough to be approved for military issue, real test range tests would be required. Meanwhile, there's people who trust War Thunder's "realistic" ballistics engine that vomits out results within 20ms in an online environment.
War Thunder is a video game and not an official military study, war thunder's realistic ballistics engine works better than any game on the market for the mind boggling amount of simulation scenarios.
As a reference, for those interested here, the 1939 Print for its Ammo Manual sayes that it will reliably penetrate 55mm/30°/700m. Which would even be enove for the side armor. (And for the He rounds its still 20mm/30°/600m.)
@@dejmianxyzsimulations4174 how much real time would pass during the calculation? i see the numbers changing from e-005 to e-003 during the velocity clip. is that 2 seconds? I think knowing the real time of the slowed animation would help clear up the question of lethality a bit
