This channel serves as an outlet for top-quality contemporary railroad videos and documentaries.
The railroading industry has been a personal obsession as long as I can remember. Through this video series, I bring you my experiences trackside, and I'll do my best to share as much information - from history to railroad operation procedure and scheduling - as I can along the way.

Chicago is the rail capitol of the world. At least 2000 trains a day start, terminate or pass through. I the IHB through Summit can see up 76 trains in 24 hours. The NS line along the Lakeshore of Lake Michigan can see up to 80 trains in 24 hours.
Some coal trains transfer onto the Belt Railway of Chicago to connect with eastern roads. I lived in Berwyn and. Lyons the neighboring town of Riverside to the south.
Those are not GP23 ECO they are older GP60Ss that are now doing switching in Clyde yard. Prior to these the had SD 60s doing that as well a pair of GP38s.
I would still like to know how the trucks are " locked " to the axles . Weight only ?. Surely there must be something holding the axle sets locked to the trucks .
I just discovered your channel I absolutely love it. I am, however, dismayed by the complete carpetbombing of ads throughout the videos. An ad every 90 seconds to 3 minutes is not enjoyable.
Surprised but not really surprised that they don't make the wheels with enough extra meat on the flanges that the wheels could be reground in place. Would be a pretty simple jack / precision grinder type of thing.
This is a great video. Last week we drove past a repair team doing similar work which made me wonder about the process. I've always wondered how repair equipment can be loaded on and off the tracks. So I was glad the video showed how the mother repair train's ramp is used.
I would love to see if you could cover the Union Pacific line between Kansas City and St. Louis I’ve get lots of variety of different trains but also gave a large number of intermodal trains
