Do not try it with a 1kg ankle weight. Actually, do not try it with weights at all.. 10min and my inner thighs, quads and bas are as dead as if I'd been 1h at the gym with heavy weights or fancy machines
cool, your insides are still absolutely destroyed. doesn't compare to a woman who hasn't had kids inside and out. women without kids stay healthier longer, look better and younger longer, and their insides don't give them issues at 40 because they aren't worn out like yours.
while the exercises themselves are awesome and I did end up sweating, but the tempo is not adequate at all, the way the video was put together is somehow weird, because it gives you 0 time to switch the position. I was wearing weights and literally no pause in between made me rewind back multiple times, because I simply was unable to keep up, because I needed like 30 seconds to stand up and adjust my body. Also doing it so quickly I realised I'm trying to keep up so hard that I forget about my posture, the right positions of my spine and overall angle of the body which is not healthy, it affects both your technique and your joints in the long run. I don't know, the content in itself seems to be really good, but the tempo of the video was a huge bummer.
Doing exercises while your heels are off of the ground builds calf strength and ankle strength too. I do calf raises daily and my calves look like they have been chiseled and my ankles are bombproof.
I actually look better after having kids too! I nursed them and I think that does help get your body back faster and it’s healthier for the baby anyway. I am a 43 yr old woman now and I still have almost no body fat
As a 30 year old mom of three, you should be mature and secure enough to not have to compare yourself to new adults who are struggling enough as is, just because your achievement "hits different." Everyone is doing their best in their respective situation. As one of the struggling 20 year olds you just flexed on (and by the way I'm competing with actual, real issues, not women in a different age range!) - congrats. You just did the pilates version of a basketball dad flexing on his 5-year-old. You want a trophy? Unsubbed. I'm following one of the other non-toxic instructors.
It looks like it could be a good barre WO (my barre studio went out of business with COVID). I’ve been doing Pilates and yoga lately in nearby studios. Why the silly, unprofessional intro while sitting in the car though? I prefer a class that just begins in anormal, professional way without the juvenile “you guys” that’s become annoyingly ubiquitous. I’m not a guy and the pronoun “you” can be a plural pronoun. Why add “guys?” It’s dumb. I used to take ballet and strongly prefer a professional approach to class. Clean it up! Ditch the “you guys” and don’t waste our time chatting at us from inside a car!
As someone who’s parents where bodybuilders this isn’t entirely true. As cardio burns most of the fat ab workout like crunches and Russian twist ect can infact burn fat. It just can’t burn a targeted weight in not in a certain area.
I say amen!! If she left out the 20s part I think some of you would interpret the point completely differently and understand what she really meant .... She's probably more proud of her post mama body than she ever has been through the years. The work it takes JUST to close the gap (aka diastasis recti/ when ab muscles separate from each other) can be extremely discouraging, esp when you just want to feel SOMEWHAT like yourself again or at least just feel GOOD ABOUT yourself. Coming from a 36 yro mama STILL trying to work on my post baby physique 7 yrs later. 🤷🏼♀️🙄
I think most of us understood what she meant. It's the fact she couldn't articulate it *without* shading other women that upset so many people. It's great to be proud of yourself and your achievement; you don't have to bring other people into it.
