Found this as Im trying the game again after years. Trying to experiment with button bindings but the damn angel and demon modes eat up so much button options.
The most ironic thing about all of this is that DSP was allegedly a pro fighting game player before his RU-vid career. The more of these videos I watch, the more I start to doubt that.
I really like V. Is he less refined than Vergil, Dante and Nero? Yes, of course he is, it's the first time they put something like that into the game. But I really like what they did with him. He is different and the gameplay he provides adds variety to the game. I really want a similar and more refined character in DMC6. Also, his gameplay reminds a bit of a Chais Legion. A hidden gem of the PS2 era.
Call me crazy but before we even get news confirming a DMC6, I actually hope we get a DMC5 ultimate edition that adds Lady, Trish, and Lucia as playable characters. They could functionally work like Lady/Trish in DMC4SE. Lady for Nero missions, Trish for Dante Missions, Lucia for V missions. Yes its wishful thinking but DMC5 is one of those games I feel hasn't yet reached that "definitive" version it can be.
If I ever see DSP in ranked imma LMFAO while proceeding to whoop that ass I've only been playing for a month and I'm still learning how to play the game
This guy does not understand what hold back is, I don't understand why he plays Yoshi. He has a slow play style looking for openings, not a rundown character like he plays him...
i like style switching but one thing that felt pretty bad was how nerfed a lot of the style moves were in DMC4 to accomodate for it, it felt bad for casuals
24:55 Reasons why nero can't use breakers while locked on is as you mentioned is you use enemies as shields BUT also because you can't use wire snatch while holding breaker button. That is why you have two snatch function. While you're unable to use wire snatch since the button itself is occupied, you CAN use other snatch that is your devil bringer snatch
21:29 "sometimes i get way too hyped for my own good" honestly same, but after about 15 minutes of DSP doing the same things over and over again on Yoshimitsu and losing, seeing you get hyped on a perfect with a number of different moves he can do, honestly is like going from eating the same candy bar over and over again then switching to a pizza. i'll take more of this, please.

So is this another game where enemies are just defenseless combo fodder? That's what I hate about DMC and why I prefer Ninja Gaiden's brutality. I wanna care more about combo games, but there's hardly ever any pressure in them until you beat them and unlock their super mega difficulties, BP equivalent, and all of your abilities which is a waste of my time grinding out. This is giving me a similar impression.
I used to think that Phil was somewhat self aware and putting on a show. But he's just an idiot. Oh and if streamers banning people for saying anything positive about whoever they're playing against is something you're looking at... LTG.
You guys are all broken. These vids should be used to teach people what Confirmation Bias is. Every other fangame is mostly one or two demo stages, while Omens is a full-package who's objectively better than Forces in *every* department. Levels, bosses, graphics... And this was all done by a small group of inexperienced developers - nothing like Sonic Team. But no, let's play one more open-field beta - pretend it's a "fangame" - and cry for SEGA to hire that man... oof. Omens is literally the best Sonic games we've played after Colors, til Frontiers. You'd love it to bits if SEGA was the publisher. Yet you guys are too blinded by "the drama" to look abjectively at it. So blinded you can't even notice how creators like ChaserTech are literally using Omens to make more money than Oroboros Studio ever did. This situation is beyond reterded.
Oh no I did, and I also understand the difference between a fangame and Triple A games... And it's incredibile how we can only compare Omens to those. Granted, it usually pales in comparison, but it's a gargantuan feat nonehteless: If this exact same game - flaws and all - was developed by an actual studio it'd cost millions to make. It's absurd how people can't understand this level of quality and dedication is outwordly, and they earned nothing but hate. This situation is beyond broken indeed. Also, it's factual how content creators are monetizing way more than the Devs out of Omens. So yeah, I watched it.
@@marinomele4575 If you indeed watched my video, you would have heard the ending segment where I stated why I compared Sonic Omens to official Sonic games. Because during the time I made this video, many fans of Omens compared this game to official Sonic games. With that being said, I also gave credit that this is the most ambitious 3D sonic fan game. But that doesn't meant that it's the best imo. So atm I kinda doubt you watched my vid in full.
@@ChaserTech As said, I did. There's no issue with comparing it with official games, Omens really is so ambitious it can't really be compared with other fangames... But I mentioned Confirmation Bias since using any official game to scale a fangame should be one hell of a compliment - yet everyone ends up *really* comparing them...? Wich is absolutely unfair, it's not even an argument. This doesn't mean we can't have opinions nor make critiques, but this It truly a gem of a fangame and it's been constantly reviewed in such an unfair way because of all the preexisting drama. Aka, confirmation bias 🫤 This Is why I mentioned creators like you monetizing your videos about Omens, not because it's bad - but because there's nothing wrong nor odd about this, the whole drama didn't even have a reason to exist in the first place. Not to mention the streamers who started the hate train out of frustration, since there's some skill required here but it was unthinkable for the boost-to-win afficionados... Who found fertile ground to further hate on Omens since people were already against it for other reasons. This Is why I said the whole situation is just broken. I can't Imagine how it must feel to put your heart into a project and see the whole community revolting for such biased reasons.

The point of this video was to critique it like I do with any game and draw relevant comparisons while also looking into the discussions I've seen about this game in relation to official Sonic titles. Also idk why you're focused on the drama aspect of Sonic Omens when my video didn't discuss anything related to the drama.

A bit late but THANK YOU. I've seen some DSP playing fighting games and raging and making his excuses and I know he's wrong, I can he's wrong, and that he is in fact guity of a lot of what he accuses people of doing, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to explain why, so this sort of video is really what I need.
