Looks good, when I try to make this out turns out grainy. Any tips on how to stop this from happening?

Thank you. I’d say make sure the icing is sifted well. Add the icing into the butter a little at a time. Keep mixing with paddle attachment to make it smoother. Maybe a teaspoon or so of milk/water and re mix . Give these tips a try.

I'm going to try this sometimes powdered sugar makes it grainy.

I’d say give or take, a couple of hours. Depends on the weather too I guess.

It’s ok to be left out for a few hours any longer it should be stored in the fridge.

Yes, definately if you are in a hot country. I’d take it out the fridge an hour or so before serving so the cake/ dessert comes to room temp.

​@BarbaraCreese-kj6rh it's half a can. A can of condensed milk is almost 400 grams. Just a helpful hint if you are planning on doing a double layer cake you will want to double the recipe.

Yes it can, just bring it to room temp and re whip. But it can also be left out a couple days or so .

Best instructions I've seen to date!! I need help troubleshooting tho. 😢 I added the butter after I got the modt beautiful peaks and it all went completely flat. Totally liquid. What can I do at this point? I'm using a hand held electric mixer since that's all I have at home.

Ahhh thank you so much. So sorry to hear this! I wonder if you added the butter too quickly….you really should add a little at a time….. did you re try the recipe ?

This recipe is the absolute best!! I tried it a second time, quadrupled the ingredients, whipped in 2 blocks of cream cheese into it to make 2 tiered carrot cake. It held its shape during transport and the baby shower event. It is my forever go to! It really is the absolute best. Thank you so much!

how does it not leak out because I have been sent clips with the shoe but you are not using them x

The shoe mould I use didn’t have clips, it is magnetic and that’s why it doesn’t leak x

@@riasheldon997 I’d probably add extra clips all round the mould , so that there is no part of the shoe that will leak out. Give that a try.

I just tried this out today, i think its my new favourite! I didnt boil the water - I got it out of the tap at 50 C, it was hot enough to dissolve the sugar without having to use extra things which makes it even easier!

That cake was absolutely adorable! Any child, or adult, would be so happy to receive that cake. You have a great imagination. What really surprises me is that you ordered from Temu and got everything you ordered. Lol. But anyway, keep on decorating and putting out videos. Awesome.

I, too, love Temu. I get my orders quickly, get good quality and all the items I ordered. If it is something that doesn't work for me I can get a refund, no questions asked.

Thanks for the recipe . Can this process be done with a hand mixer.The paddle attachment cant be used then. Also the recipe in description shows 200g whereas video its 250g ..what is the exact proportion to be taken?thks

Hello, thank you for watching and so sorry for the late response. Yes it is 200g of butter, a mistake in the video which I hadn’t noticed…thanks for pointing it out! This can definitely be done with a hand mixer, but it will take longer to achieve the results. All the best. X

I tried making and the confectioner's sugar didn't dissolved completely so some of the piping tips got clotted. I did notice it was very dry before adding the butter, like it was most stuck in the whisk like glue, how can I fix this? I loved the texture and flavor, but I need it smoot so I can pipe easily. Thanks!

Hello, did you put the correct amount of boiled water and sugar at the start ? This is the only thing I can think as to why it was dry. You need to also mix thoroughly once everything is incorporated to achieve a smooth consistency. I hope this helps….let me know if I can assist further. Thanks for watching x

This looks awesome. Can i use corn syrup instead of powdered sugar to sweeten and not ruin the consistency? How do I add chocolate flavor without ruining the consitency?

Ive been searching for a recipe like this since i cant find pasteurized egg whites...will definitely give it a try. Can I use corn syrup instead of powdered sugar to add that extra sweetness or would it ruin the consistency? Also, if i wanted to make a chocolate version? Do i add cocoa powder at the end or add it after the meringue is made? Love to hear from you

Thank you so much. I used brown gel food colouring. For the lighter shade of brown I used only tiny amount of food colouring, and more for the dark shade.

Oh dear, so sorry. Maybe you didn’t push the fondant into the face part of the mould enough. You have to be quite vigorous with this process so that you end up with all the features and creases for the baby.
