Sry bout that, i just couldn't get in gear for some reason, lol. 73 neighbor De KO4WHX Edit: also i didnt answer the ?? Because your signal went from ab a 599 strong signal right into the noise floor with some short lived qsb and i couldnt tell who you were talking to and then your signal came back up.
Man, that one guy you worked on 20m sure gave you a crappy RST. Every time I hear him work you he gives you like a 219! What's that dude's problem? LOL
@@dannybryant4440 LOL unless you're working me.....Then you're likely to get a 319 or something. The fun ones are when someone is on a homebrew rig with a weird power supply and I give them like a 437 🤣
Hah I’ve been on a roll lately. Activated 3 mornings in a row, probably gonna take a break and sleep in tomorrow morning. 😅 73 and catch you again soon!
Hello Aaron, likewise always nice to get you in the logbook. Thanks for sharing this. It is always nice to hear your own signal from another operators perspective. We'll hear you again on the airwaves soon. 73 Jim
@@w4arb Dude I worked at RadioShack when I was in high school! Best job ever. Keep the awesome content rolling. I’m sure I’ll catch you on the air soon. 73 de KI7QCF
I’m always a few days behind on watching/ listening. I heard my call sign while listening in the car. I had a very narrow window, I heard you calling and threw my callsign , but never heard you again , faded away. Always another day. New key looks interesting and seems to be a top notch design.
So, between this new key and the BamaTech TP-III, which one do you think you'll be using more? I have the TP-III and love it, but this one looks nice too!
Great question! Right now I’m using the Modern Morse more. They’re in the same class as far as feel and quality in my opinion, but the MM is more comfortable to hold in my hand. Honestly they’ll both stay in my bag for the foreseeable future. :)
Oh the bamakey is stickin around too! 😅 They’re both fine keys. I’m glad to have another tiny key with an enclosed top. That’s a requirement for me with how often and hard I use my gear.
Was watching playback at 1.5x and was thinking you were going burn the key up. Then I realized what I did lol. Thanks for video I’m looking at getting one as well.
My second favorite Aaron reviewing my first favorite Aaron’s key?! What a dream! Love his keys. Been there through his whole process and it’s amazing how much thought and time has gone into this key!
@@w4arb Yeah man I can never hear you either, it’s a bummer. There was one time a month or two ago I was able to hunt you. It was tough but we got the QSO! 👍🏻 Massive +1 on a new key in the field. New keys are great, but it’s an adjustment every time to master the feel!
I will get in your hunter log one of these days too. Seems like the path out west has been open more often lately. It does take some getting used to a new key but the key feels pretty precise and that helps. 73!
Nice Spot! Holy crap on this video is the most words I have heard you string together at one time lol. But I am a NY'er its in my DNA to talk.......ALOT!
I understand! I will try to summarize. On a ground spike with 8 radials, it tunes successfully and performance should be similar to a mobile installation. Adding more radials would certainly improve performance further. It's worth trying it out on voice modes if you have one, I think you'll be surprised by how well it works. 73!
I doubt they will produce amateur radios again. Listening to the “president/ceo” that was at Hamvention - he seems to be full of hot air. He made the same claim last year and the year before that they were about to release a new radio in the fall. Two falls later, we’ll see.
Aaron, may I make a request. I also follow VK2TER on RU-vid doing CW, with his editing the station he has worked he puts the callsign on the screen after each contact. I feel this helps with newbies to CW confirming if they have written down the callsign correct. Will understand if it is too much extra work when editing with having a young family and commitments and time limitations. 73 Phil G0BVD
Hi Phil! I’ve seen VK2TER’s channel, it’s awesome and I agree that adding the call signs to the screens is helpful. I wish I had the time and patience to do the same, I just have limited time and I hate video editing 😂 I hope that’s not too forward to say LOL 73!
@@w4arb Thanks for your honesty Aaron, I thought it might be the case. Do hear it a lot that editing is time consuming. Have a great week hope you get in a few hours CW before work commitments. 73 Phil dit dit
