Liquid_Refreshment 666? As in the number of the beast? The king of hell? The hell that is explored in Dante’s Inferno? As in the game they will never escape?
"Dante betrayed me" - goddamn, you lead him with freedom fighter spiel the entire time only to reveal it's a palace coup instead of revolution, you expected him to be like "Oh, them I guess we're the new Mundus"?
Apparently she was in the prequel comic but then he wiped her memory because love was making him soft or something and he could use her as a tool easier without pesky feelings in the way. What a nice guy.
Asura resurrecting after death is even more bullshit than Kratos. Asura just gets angry and literally punches his way out of the afterlife. Then he keeps coming back faster and faster every time he died. First resurrection took 12,000 years, the next was like 500, then like a couple of weeks. The dude was too angry to stay dead, lol.
As drawn out as it gets, that is Asura's whole theme as the anti-Buddha. His attachment and hate are so strong that he's dislodged from the cycle of reincarnation.
I think he did on his own channel. I really wanted him to play DMC 3 Vergil with Pat so Pat could have his revenge for the shit Woolie talked during that LP.
@@christhechilled oh I know, but I don't care about that, him doing this for the main channel instead of that, is obviously a sign of where the Vergil score truly is.
I can't stop laughing at how the nanosecond Vergin comes across any opposition, he tries to Devil Trigger but literally can't cause the catalyst for his power, the amulet is gone. Meanwhile, in classic DMC, Vergil is never shown using his Devil Trigger in cutscenes and only sparingly uses it as a boss, comparatively speaking. And in his intros in DMC3 he's shown fighting and killing boss and endgame enemies in single strikes! The enemies Vergin goes up against that he tries to Devil Trigger against? Ordinary enemies that Donte can kill in his sleep! This Vergil is a total wimp!
They really should replay the original God of Wars. “Why didn’t Kratos just visit his daughter in Hades?” -something he tried to do but was forbidden from doing by the gods.
I think Pat is the only one who played the original series, and he obviously doesn't remember too much about it. Woolie knows "everything" because he watched some RU-vid videos on the games before the Dad & Boi Playthrough.
Shame we'll never know what they might have had in store for DmC's version of Nero... Nero: From that day forth...my desire changed...and a voice echoed, "Power...give me more HORSE POWER!" And if I have to wear a trilby, so be it. I will endure exile. Anything to have my NERO MOBILE!!!
For real since Dante and Vergil are so wildly different in the reboot I now imagine Nero as a wimpy, goody two shoes nerd that loves God all the time. But when combat starts he either suddenly gets the instinct to fight with his powers or gets an evil second personality that fights for him. Then when the fighting stops he goes “Oh no what have I done!? I’ve committed a SIN!”.
you joke... but now im interested in seeing how they would have handled Nero, it would have been a trash fire but an interesting one. Also, im sure NT Nero would be more of a Motorcycle guy than a car guy so he would get The NeroCycle
You know what, I think Classic Vergil looks alright from the back, he's got a bit of a butter face thing going on. That's the right one, right? Where everything but the face looks good? The coat is a nice shade, the hair looks more slick because of how far away he is from the camera. Up close, his hair looks stupid.
I don’t understand why Vergil’s clean look and hairstyle from the main game wasn’t a costume for this DLC. I dislike his main haggard look, his crazy super saiyain hair following that costume, and that poor recreation of “classic” Vergil.
Oh by the way I found a shop in the demo for 5 called Nephilim Bridal, with the slogan “Let is help merge your worlds.” Just thought I’d throw that out there.
You mean that huge, ugly, completely opaque reticle that makes it impossible to see what the hell is happening? I can't believe that wasn't part of the original design!
I was ok with all the story inconsistencies in this DLC 'cause I thought "this is hell so hell is tormenting Vergil with visions that are untrue". Like the whole "everyone you love has turned their back on you bullshit, I thought that was intentional 'cause that would have been how Vergil would see Dante walking away from him, subconsciously.
I love how the entire main story, Vergil wanted to help Dante and be his brother again, they work together to kill Evil Antagonist #547, and then out of nowhere, Vergil wants to rule over mankind, and after big bro kicks his ass he goes into an angsty rage and unlocks the power of Mega Edgelord
Dead Space 2: No DLC DMC 3: No Vergil DMC 4: Nothing but Dante and Nero DmC: DLC, let’s play Vergil Welcome to Super Best Friends Play, Ladies and Gentlemen.
SnaKeMuHo no but you can make a small video or part of the finale specifically to demonstrate hey here’s a bunch of side content we won’t go into detail for.
to be fair on the account of DMC 3 & 4, the Vergil content is just replaying the main story with a few cutscenes. Would still rather have that than this, though.
You can tell they didn't plan this until they realized thet were never getting a sequel because Vergil was fucking fine and shook hands with Dpmte. There was no conflict other than they weren't besties anymore.
@@Stefano.C Itsuno seems to really like DmC Devil May Cry as a whole. These guys have framed it like he came in and saved a dying project halfway through but from everything I've gathered his involvement began much earlier on than halfway. It really seems like he developed the game with them and had a lot of fun doing so.
I had a weird dream about a small obscure country that paints their live cows like the diagrams you see of cows where the choice cuts of meat are outlined. Clearly this is a sign that Pat should play DMC2.
I feel like they should have committed to making Virgil a more vicious and cunning character like Askeladd from Vinland saga (Strongest prologue I've seen in a while). Just a dirty brutal and underhanded fighter and tactician hellbent on getting revenge on mundus (like using his judgment rifle) and gaining power (taking his seat at the throne of hell).
Vergil would be much more threatening i agree but man Askeladd is just on another whole level... i havent read Vinland Saga in a while but i remember him being my favorite, despite his end
Now that you mention Askeladd, since Sparda was Mundus' brother in DmC, and Vergin was Sparda's firstborn, now that Mundus is dead and Sparda is you-know-what, Vergin has a rightful claim to the demon throne!
I know a retired Army sniper, and one night he said "You never aim for the head, because of you hit the torso you leave a hole you could stick your head through." So, yeah, that's an accurate wound for a high velocity, large caliber bullet.
Poor Woolie. Man just wanted to get up, have himself some breakfast and start his day. AND PAT RAN HIM OVER WITH A BUS.... Poor Woolie... Man deserved better.
i kinda like the 'zoom on character looking up' thing to signify a wave ended and a new one is coming. Like it's stupid and sometimes is annoying, but it's sorta neat.
11:41 that super happens in problem sleuth. Like, characters explode, meet Death in the void, then just walk out the fire door and they're fine. That happens like half a dozen times.
Wait... Vergil teleported that platforming piece of concrete towards him. Imagine if a new ability of vergil was to not only be able to teleport, but to teleport other objects and matter. Like some sasuke shit. That would be cool
Mad respect for Vergil using those anti-tank rounds to abort that baby. Most people would think it’s overkill, but Vergil knows when you need more power.
On the DMC5 board on GameFAQs there is an argument going on for weeks if DMC3 Vergil fought DmC Vergil who would win. Its a hilarious fanboy war thread I recommend checking it out.
anyone else notice how the level design of DmC Devil May Cry seems to suggest the universe bows to Dante or Vergil due to it's very specific and tailored-to-them design? The previous games felt like a place constructed for anyone to go through, you just had to defeat demons to open door, solve puzzles or hit buttons but they felt like they were placed that were places. Limbo makes no sense with how the world is, if it's just a demonfied Earth then how are they both always so lucky that when the world changed they weren't 1000km from a ledge as you fall to an ocean of black goo?
I hear the incredibly squishy impact noises and all I can think is that those are the sounds of Pat and Woolie's feet as they slog through a knee deep swamp of sucking, clinging garbage.
So... demons can have extraordinary powers in Limbo, but are mostly normal in the "real" world. Thus, while Dante had to endure a massive boss battle against Lilith and her shit child, all it took were a few high-caliber rounds to blow her away in the real world. That said, there's still no reason why Vergil in Limbo was scared of a few mooks at the Vergil base; he was clearly powerful enough to have his own DLC in that realm.
The dumbest thing about the Devil Sniper is that it's not even a fucking sniper, it's like a Famas or something and it literally blows out her whole fucking stomach with one shot like it's a goddamn .50 cal bullet from 2 feet away
I mean, Vergil's death-cheats are pretty overt and blatant. I don't know much about God of War, but Kratos at least has the advantage of being in a Greek mythos setting. So theoretically, he could just walk out of Hades if he was strong enough. Vergil has no such advantage. Then again, THIS Vergil also didn't have mad combat skills until oops yeah he does. And as regards the actual DLC...holy crap this looks like it was cobbled together with duct tape. And wait, is it really a sequel hook? I mean, if it GOT a sequel, I wouldn't be mad. But given Nero in 5, I will be pretty mad if we don't get a DMC6. I mean hell, I'll be a little upset if we don't get a 5SE. DMC5 is fantastic. Imagine making it EVEN MORE FANTASTIC!
