Heating an ice-cream scoop is very common. Pretty much all ice cream parlours and restruants do this. Except you don't heat it with a flame. Ever. Dip it in a tub of hot or boiling water or use a hot tap. Really helps and is great help if you want perfect ball shaped scoops. You may or may not have noticed people dip scoops in water when buying ice cream in cones from places. I do this every day at work (i'm a dessert chef).

My boyfriend used to rip apples in 1/2 w his hands.... there was a definite technique, and he had very strong hands. I think the placement of the fingers was very important.

Life hack: if it raining use an umbrella

Better ice cream scoop "hack" - run it under hot water before every scoop. As long as it's not a super hard ice cream, it'll work well and you'll get scoops that look pretty nice. No ash required!

Luckily I always have cooking utensils in my hair! I thought I was the only one.

When I was younger, I knew that ice cream would scoop better with a heated scoop, so I took the ice cream scoop, and put it in the microwave... There was a lightning like thing, and the microwave started making weird noises and the scoop had created a small hole in the net, so I took it out, and it wasn’t even hot, just slightly burnt... :/

The thing about the milk, being poured the other way is actually a working method. But in certain conditions - it's used on a FULL carton of milk/juice, it's poured from a normal, logical distance. If the opening is on the bottom, and you try to pour it, the air going in makes these pulses in the stream. If it's on the top, the air has a clear way in and the stream is smooth. But only for FULL cartons with rectangular shapes.

Actually good alternative to the lighter on the ice cream scoop one: pour some hot water over it (if your tap water is good, that is). The small amount of hot water on the scoop provides enough heat that it doesn't immediately cool down, but whatever remaining freezes in a minute or two and just becomes part of your ice cream as you eat it.

Not that anyone cares or anything but I have been doing the apple thing since I saw Pikachu do it on Pokemon. I was determined to crack the mechanic behind it and I didly-did, good job, 11 yo me. First: Your apple needs to be pretty ripe and either grainy or soft (not mushy), so most green apples will not work. Second: The skin is strong AF so I just give it a little starting gash with my nails on either side of the top part where the stem is. Note: Removing the stem is optional but recommended for beginners. The hand placement: Thumbs into the stem hole and the bottom of the palms rested on the not indented part firmly, fingers on the other end. Push thumbs in and apart with your palms. The apple will split in 85% of cases. Get ready for it to fly off when it does, when the resistance is broken it creates one beast of a momentum.

The apple breaking one is actually pretty easy if you know how to do it...I mean...my brother was 12 when he showed it to me and trust me he wasn't a bulky child XD

When I was a child we always opened the apple with our hands!! It’s actually not that hard - but also depends on the type of the apple 😃😃😃 and pouring from the other side of the bottle is actually better with some specific bottles as well - but that isn’t anything new either!

A better version of the ice cream trick is to run hot water over the ice cream scoop, or have a small container of hot water to warm it in between scoops.

Tip from an ex basking robbins employee if you dip the scoop in room temp water before each scoop not only will it scoop easier it won't stick to the scoop.

I actually have made a spoon out of a water bottle before. We get free water bottles at work, but often run out of spoons and forks. So in a desperate attempt to eat my lunch... I made a spoon.....

Okay I actually used to wear my earbuds like that but it's because the earbuds that don't have rubber pieces hurt my ears, and if I wear them like that I don't actually have to put them in my ears. Now I just have actual headphones and they're a million times better. Love them. They're great for my sensory issues too.
