Hi James, Came across your videos, you are in Aus and wondered if you have a video with a shelly 1 with 2 way switches? I keep finding US videos, but i think their 2 way and colours for wires are very confusing to relate to Aus

I started with the Bunnings WI-FI smart switches and after too many issues moved on to Zigbee. Zigbee is a much more reliable standard which will continue to work if the WIFI is down.
well, I feel like an idiot. I do have the brilliant smart fan. brilliant app, all setup in that app. Then when I try to add and link Tuya App via the QR code, it doesn't complain but it doesn't sync anything. Now I've installed Tuya app on mobile phone, created the account but haven't added any devices (btw looks identical to Brilliant app) and when I scan the code it does recognize it immediately (the login, the devices are just not there yet). How can I can the devices from brilliatn app registered in the tuya app?
yeah, this procedure doesn't work anymore. The HA detects it as Tuya, I enter the user code I can find in the brilliant app, but once the QR code pops up and I scan it with the brilliatn app, it says it needs to be scanned with another APP. I'm quite stuck.

Pretty cool sharing this info. It’s gold! If I needed to use this Shelly to control a 240v single phase heating element via a definite-purpose contactor, you’re saying I could? In this case can’t install it right at the circuit breaker and may not have 3 phase to input into Shelly. Not really a dealbreaker right?
The Tuya gateway is for Zigbee devices? Probably? The local key is only used for Tuya wifi devices. The individual zigbee devices can be connected directly using a gateway compatible with home assistant like but not limited to the skyconnect.
You should keep in mind that the 3EM has a poor power supply design, that can blow up on a 3-phase 400V system (as we have it most over Europe). Any surges on the lines might blow up the 1000V diodes used (remember you might have the rectified 320Vdc against a -320V phase voltage on ever diode. 740V is not far away from the diode‘s max rating. In addition these are smd diodes with very limited space for these voltages. In case of a failure they create arcs on the pcb and with some luck only fill your distribution box with black mud. Make sure you have fuses in front of the 3EM or better/and surge protection circuit. BTW, they changed that in the 3EM pro to only using the Vc-input for power supply to minimize the „between phases arc“-risk.
it's possible obtain local_key if the account is expired after one moths? i btaine this message ""No permissions. Your subscription to cloud development plan has expired." there are some mode to have local_key?
Just a note to say this is the only video ive found that helped me wire a simple reed magnetic switch and config in esphome as my very first project without confusing the hell out of me . You wouldnt believe how confusing some of the beginners guides are. !
Any solution for this error that occurs when entering the local key... "Connection to device succeeded but no datapoints found". Yours is the first video I've found that mentions data points, is there a way to edit or correct them if this is the cause of the error?
Could you explain what is the purpose of I and O connectors? If I do 3F layout will it be possible to monitor the solar panel circuit which is also 3F?
I really appreciate some good AU content on this stuff, thanks. Question, for the second switch would are some option for the push switch as the secondary? I assume it doesn't have to be "smart"?
Thanks Jimmy! I think I've found my new dimmers for our house rebuild. I was looking at the Shelly Dimmer 2 but the rotary dimmer is the killer feature for this.
Thank you very much. I just mannaged to get my first Tuya Local switch to work. It has only been a couple of weeks since I started with HomeAssistant so this is a big achivement for me. From now on it should be easier all the time. It does work!
Hi, can I get consumption per user when I add different users? I am looking for a solution to split the electricity usage bill in a common public area to its users. Can Shelly em do that? If you help me I will be so happy.
hey man just found your channel. thanx for making this vid. probably would not have even looked at this product if not for this. Is it still working okay?
I had high hopes but this is 2 years on and now it doesn't look anything like what you show in your video :( I added the integration, hit finish and then I have no shelly devices popping up and some confusing configuration and settings....
I'm so glad I found this channel! It's great to find some Australia-specific home automation/lighting videos. And you include just the right level of detail and explanation. Thank you!
