Bro is THE competitive spirit. Plays to win but remains respectfull and having fun, hes literaly the exact description of having a competitive spirit. + bro is an absolute chad, made the character he likes top tier by simply using, he resisted the urge to join the fox hiveming, what a fucking legend
Brawl had tripping, terrible movement, and Meta Knight made every other character basically unusable, which made the game so much worse. Melee, while being even more fundamentally broken than Brawl, still had way better movement, surprisingly way better balancing (Melee’s balancing is still horrible), and had 0 tripping.
He makes money, gets to have new experiences, and became a legend in his own genre. Even if this was all to prove a point, he made a career out of it and that’s just amazing.
imo the ones that are for sure viable are fox, Falco, puff, Marth, peach, pikachu, Falcon, sheik, ice climbers, Yoshi, and Samus. I feel like hypothetically if you had like a Hungrybox-level savant playing them Dr Mario and Luigi could be viable, but that’s definitely debatable
You really gotta compare melee to every other fighting games. From the ui design, load times, to its gameplay. I wish you highlighted just how much it differs from every other contemporary fighting game to show just how unique it is. Maybe you have a video on it, i just havent seen it anywhere.
To me there is a difference between loving a game and a good game, a game doesn’t have to be fantastic for someone to consider it their favorite. Why you consider a game your favorite is not because of its score on metacritic, it’s your favorite game because it gave you something to do, it gave you good/fun memories, it’s something that sticks with you. A game can be good but that doesn’t mean it sticks with you. That can be for a number of reasons.
Unpopular opinion as it might be, I'm of the opinion that unless you reach a certain level of skill, tier lists mean jack sh!t no matter what the 20XX memes might tell you. (Hell personally, I don't really like playing as the Spacies. Marth is really the only top tier Melee fighter that I enjoy playing TBH. The other fighters that I enjoy playing as are fighters like Samus, Mario and Donkey Kong) You'd be surprised at how many skilled Roy and Kirby players I've seen be able to beat Fox and Peach players of similar skill levels.
You're making this way too complicated A favourite game can be a favourite for any reason, even if you only enjoy dressing up your dark souls character and dont give a damn about the rest of the gameplay, if the dress up is your favourite then its your favourite because you enjoy it Feels more like the video is more about making a assessment of the game as "good"
I was wondering why AsumSaus and Yoshi was being mentioned in the comments of Starfall Village [Name Entry] and honestly, I couldn't think of a more fitting name for aMsa leaving his name on the list of Smash legends than the OSTyou hear while inputting your name on a leaderboard.
I never in my life would think there'd be a competitive smash game scene more conservative than Melee's, yet Yoshi's Island is legal there, but not Ultimate. But to be fair competitive Ultimate players are the definition of bratty so eh, to be expected.
29:08 this aged like fish out on the counter. I legit can't believed they had a super balanced smash, then made Steve a thing in the vary last patch as an f u to anyone who enjoyed the game
No shield dropping makes platforms unplayable. Some chars who can sweep platforms, want you to land on the lower platforms so they can up smash you for free. Now most of these chars are mid or lower tiers and would be higher if people played on platforms way more. Do to people not doing so, they don't get to enjoy the one advantage they get over top tiers.
