Hey everyone! Welcome to Science-Based Fitness. This channel is about giving you quality fitness advice with evidence and research to back it up. I post new content every week, if you are not subscribed, consider subscribing.
You can do it every workout. Personally I'll do straight sets for my first 1 or 2 exercises. Then go to super sets. Funny my newest video I'm working on is revisiting new research on super sets make sure to check it out
Taking a look at Ritfit, they seem somewhat similar. Although I can't really speak on their quality since I've never used one in person. I'll be honest I love my major fitness equipment, but it's all up to you. I'm very confident recommending Major Fitness.
Hey I want to workout for general fitness and health I thought if I just do strength full body hiit workouts 2x per week and then just walk 20 minutes per day on off days that would be enough am I right?
I bought Fruity It sucks It taste like gasoline I just don't like to taste I still have my taste buds But if you smoke cigarettes You can't taste anything...
Great review!! i ve been going to gym for a long time so i was used to different leg press.. I just bought a new one and i cant get use to the smoothnes of the legpress and also the noice it makes.. is the smoothnes" of the legpress actually bad ?
Sorry, when this is an odder short that gets pushed out still. At the time, the strategy was to try to get people to watch your long form videos. I appreciate you checking out the! channel.
Thanks man that means a lot. I've been slowly getting better. When I started I had no idea what I was doing when it came to making videos LOL. So that's always nice to hear from people
Oh my Gracious, I gave you chance after chance to be a respectful reviewer and I've had enough. You are nothing more than a Major Fitness commercial, an infomercial. You are a guy who sold out to the 1st company that sent him free stuff. I have a friend reviewer and he explained to me how Major Fitness works. How you have to sign papers saying you will promote them and give them positive reviews. You are a sell out guy and I tried to like you but I can't. You put in your gym all Major Fitness stuff because they sent it free to you. Dont drop over 300 lbs. on the safeties. Everytime I watch a video from you, it is about Major Fitness. Unsubscribing now You are better than this, stand up, have a backbone!!!!!!!
I'm sorry you feel this way. I've had companies send me equipment in the past and I didn't promote it because I didn't like it. I understand, I've gotten away from some of my traditional videos. I've turned down 2 companies in the last few weeks because I don't want to turn into an infomercial for fitness equipment. I personally love all of this equipment I'm promoting. If I didn't, I wouldn't make these videos. I'm creating all these videos for search traffic so when people want to learn more about the equipment and it can send me sales threw affiliate links. I don't make much on YT and this something that's going to help the channel grow and make quality videos.
@@ScienceBasedFitness Why not review all equipment from all companies. To start a youtube home gym equipment review channel you must have enough money laid aside to buy equipment to review. Then companies see you and start sending free stuff. You dont just run with the 1st company that sends free stuff and then only review their equipment. That is a bad idea and you will lose subs, like you lost me. I'm just helping you man, a little constructive criticism. Take my advice, you could be a big time reviewer, you seem kind but right now we all see you as a Major Fitness puppet, nobody wants to watch that. How many views are you getting, not many. Buy the New Titan barbells and review them, nobody has reviewed them, but some new equipment and review it. You seem nice that is why I watched for as long as I did but I am sorry I can't take another Major Fitness commercial Take Care Man!!!!!! I Wish You Well!!!!!!
I have exersized induced asthma, so running for me is extremely difficult. I can do a hiit style run on a treadmill (alone, in my garage, hyperventilating like a dying ungulate), facilitating my need to catch my breath before I can run for a short burst again. I have doubts that I am even reaching my vo max anyways since my asthma prevents me from pushing my body very far, since my lung airways close up so easily during cardio at pretty much any intensity. I usually opt for walking or cycling for my preferred cardio option
If you can lift 220 kg at 100 kg body weight then what are you alien I think this mesurments are alot higher then in this video! Btw I trein from 5 yers
lol, your dog asking: "How many sets u have left, bro?" is classic. I would consider yourself lucky that you have an "indoor" space to put your home gym equipment into. I have to have my home gym equipment on the pool patio, even though it's under a roof, it's still outside and in 2023 in FL it rained everyday and some of the splashing rain water would get onto the equipment and along with the humidity - - > I can't buy very nice equipment because it would eventually get rusty - but I'm still happy to have something to train with.
Dude, my dream wss always having a great physique, but now it seems impossible because I'm 2 months in the gym and I don't know what to do, what routine should I do, I was thinking in quitting for that (and because the machines in my gym, most of them are rusty or just suck) for a time and because I have previous mental issues that I have to solve first. I don't want to quit it forever, but it's just that I can't find a routine that could work for me.
Hey man, I would be more than happy to help. Starting out can be overwhelming. I've delt with a lot of anxiety myself, so I understand how mental health can have a big impact. Let me ask what are your goals?
@Chaquetas344 there's a few basic principles you can follow to speed up hypertrophy. 1) lift close to failure, 1-2 reps shy of failure for most sets. 2) 1-2mins of rest time between sets. 3) minimum of 10sets per muscle group per week. I like hitting 15or16 total sets a week, but not all in 1 day. Train the same muscle 2x a week. 4) if you want to look bigger, smoke those deltoids. The give a bigger wider look.
@@ScienceBasedFitness Ok so, I just want to go 4 days per week, but also my main issue it's: 1. Time. Normally in a session I stay in the gym like 2 hours and I don't like that because after that time my anxiety/depressive moment starts blowing. 2. My back. The back has pretty much muscles and I don't know how to target all with only 2 excercises
You could do a push pull leg split. Then repeat on that 4th day. That will give u like each muscles group 1.25x a week over a month. 2hr is a long workout. U can use supersetting. Where u hit a biceps exercises then triceps or hamstrings then quads. It helps speed up workouts and research shows it's as effective. When it comes to what exercises to use, you don't need to over complicate it. Simple movements are effective, and machines work really well for hypertrophy. Since you are more stable. For back, pulldowns, dumbbell rows, a pull up, a row machine, a cable pullover, single arm cable pull down. Bentovrr row, and whatever machines you have at your disposal. You can use just to movements and hit 5 or 6 sets each.
Any research funded by an amalgamation of coffee growers, and regional international coffee retailers, associations etc has to be viewed somewhat suspiciously when raving positive results are put forth (As is the case for ISIC - the one for which we scroll through the printed summary.) One always has to consider who the authors are, who funded the research and whether there is anything they gain from the results. Sadly there is relatively little research being done by "free thinking researcher scientists" because it costs a bundle and . . . .who has the money???? There is nothing in it we need, we can't get somewhere else. It is not food. It is a drug. Check out the pics of fMRI's and pick your mix carefully. A picture is worth a thousand words. 10 days caffeine free here. . .
Im starting from the floor up. My question is about your floor mat. What size mat LxW should one purchase that best fits that B52 set up.? At 400lbs, once set up, the flooring would be harder to do. Thank you. Great review. I'm definitely going to use your code.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Personally, I recommend the horse stall mats from tractor supply. They are 3/4ths of an inch thick. They don't move at all, they don't distort, and are $50.00 each. They measure 4x6feet. I know they have some smaller ones 2, if u have an odd measurement. I would get two 4x6 mats and place the rack right in the center. The seam will be unnoticeable.
It's not bad, nor is it right or wrong. When trying to train close to failure or with heavy loads, grip strength is usually a limiting factor. We can reduce the odds of failing because of that, and can benefit more from a hypertrophy or strength standpoint.
