Please note. PLEASE watch the ENTIRE video before judging me or assuming I am attempting to "Push" diet pills on my followers. This video is in NO WAY an attempt to influence ANYONE to use pharmaceutical weight loss. Which I say in my video, I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL!!!! The opinions I have in regards to pharmaceutical weight loss are my own. I encourage each of you to do your due diligence , your choices are yours and yours alone. My journey is not your journey, I post videos about my journey as education and entertainment. Please consult your doctor so that you can ensure YOUR health needs are met. Peace and love ❤️

The audacity of ppl really irks me! Keep pushing Kelsi! Your journey inspired me to start a channel. I’m 3 months out and 66 pounds down. Still in shock. And definitely no judgement here because after you meet your goals, I’m sure it’s even harder to stay on track. You for this!! ❤

I had vsg 1/2022 highest was 230 my lowest was147. I stayed at 147 for about 4 months. My weight loss have stopped. I am currently at 154. I totally understand the mindset of wanting to reach your goal. Its frustrating when you are doing all that you can do and the scale doesn't move. It makes me feel the same way I felt before having the surgery. My goal is 140 I work out, drink protein shakes, meet my protein goals not so good with water. Eat pretty much the same foods healthy foods and the scale has not moved. I recently seen my Doctor and asked about something to help towards breaking a stall/plato and what my Doctor stated is that sometimes Phentermine/Adipex is given after a significant weight loss to help push you to the finish line. I have taken it before and have decided to take it again. I was so good to see you talk about this topic. Society already try to make overweight people feel bad about being big and then when we try to correct the problem now there goes society again saying we took the easy way out, we should've just said no to the food etc... this journey is definitely not easy nor for the weak. I wish you the best on this journey. Please keep us updated on your progress Also i love watching your videos.

Hi Kelsi, I've been following your journey since day one. I think you are doing an amazing job! I'm so happy that you are staying focused on you and taking breaks when needed and keeping your physician involved in your health goals. You will definitely get to under 199 it just takes patience, and will power. You have both; so I have Faith your gonna get to your goal weight. Don't let your subscribers change who you are and the decisions you make in life!! I'm so proud of you. I love the support group it helped me in so many ways along with your videos. I'm 18yrs out gastric bypass and finally reached my goal weight and now I'm 10lbs lighter than goal. God has so much in store for you🙌🏾 Keep being obedient 💞 I did want to let you know you may want to look into getting a body analyzer scale to let you know how your weight is distributed ex: water,fat,muscle mass. And start doing body measurements as well if your not still doing it. You look amazing💯🔥 Sorry for long post🥰 Love ya(virtual hug)

If you’re interested in researching food choices, I found Dr. Weiner’s book A Pound of Cure to be pretty intriguing. (He has RU-vid videos too) He is a Bariatric surgeon and discusses how to shift from being solely protein focused to prioritizing produce post op. Of course, like you mentioned, working with your medical team comes first but if you’re looking for something different it might be interesting to you. I’m glad you’re being so open about your use of pharmaceutical options post op, this is not unusual for post op patients - it was included in my pre-op education. I have not needed it but would have been willing if I had.

I completely understand what you are saying and feeling. I am there right now. Girl it has been so hard but for me istill can't eat alot and now I'm dealing with H pylori. I'm so disappointed that I haven't reached my goal weight of 150-155 lbs. Alot has happened health wise to me and major things within the family that were life changing but I don't want to give up on my goal I set for myself health issues and all. I may have to talk to my doctor as well about pharmaceutical route not sure. But I do know I'm 100 percent better than where I was before. Like you I just want to be below 199 but fluctuating between 206- 210😓 such a struggle but thank you Kelsi for all your information and encouragement you're the best and continued success on your journey ❤️ 😊 Peace and Blessings ✌🏽🙏🏾

Thanks for giving us the information and also being open about your journey. I'm almost 6 months post op and my loss has been slowwww. If I haven't reached goal at 1 year, I will certainly and un-apologetically look into pharmaceuticals with help and advice from my doctor. We go through this process to change our lifestyles and get results. If we've made the changes, but the results aren't happening, we need to keep at it, including using pharmaceuticals if needed.

I was on Vyvance before surgery in June 22, 22 for about 6 or so months because BED (binge eating disorder). After surgery I talked to my psych (who started me in Vyvance) added Adderall to give me a boost in the evening. It has always helped with my appetite. However, the mind hunger (which isn't hunger) is still there. I've been seeing a therapist for about a year and a half before my surgery and continue to see her. I also started OA (like 4th time around) and that has helped too. Because I'm on so many mental health meds that cause weight gain (messes with my metabolism and has an effect that causes bi ge eating) I opted to have my surgery. Since my surgery I average about 2 or so pounds a week.

Kelsi I get head hunger from emotional triggers and if I am physically not feeling well from my preexisting medical issues. Your tips help and I try I mean really try to keep healthy snacks near me. It works but when I run out and someone else in the house has something to eat I do take a couple of bites which definitely shows on the scale. Its usually carb filled. I tested it and was shocked how eating certain things in one day changes the numbers on the scale. I'm continuing with one protein shake per day and conscientiously trying to think through when I eat. It's not always easy. I feel you and all of your tips are all valuable and work!!
@mockingbirdnightingale7169

I loved your tips. I am guilty of drinking too soon after. You are so right -- it makes me hungrier sooner. The thing I struggle with THE MOST (I'm 2 years post-op VSG) is dealing mentally with the fact that I can/do eat a lot more now than even a few months ago, and trying to figure out how much I'm "supposed to" eat. I know what I'm supposed to eat -- that's not the problem. I just don't know how much!! And I'm maintaining my weight currently (have been for about 4-6 months roughly) but I would actually like to lose a bit more, like maybe 7-8 more lbs. It's not a lot and I don't care how long it takes but I'd like to be edging downward instead of maintaining. I guess the answer is, eat less lol. But it's such a mental struggle dealing with how I can eat MORE, when for the longest time I was so severely limited in how much I could eat. I love your videos, I don't comment often but I watch them all!

Remember as you exercise you gain muscle. I used to think I was gaining my weight back also after my WLS. I was actually gaining muscle. As a medical professional I agree with the pharmaceutical approach. What ever approach you and your doctor decide to do is your business and not the business of others. I support you 1000%.

I don’t see a problem with getting pharmaceutical help with weight loss, even if you had WLS. They’re tools to use along with healthy eating and exercise. Question - has your doctor talked to you about GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy as an option?

Keto has to be a lifestyle change, otherwise as soon as you stop you will gain the weight back plus more. My suggestions from watching your videos would be cut out the protein shakes and coffee, the snacks and just eat 3 nutritional meals a day. If your feeling hungry drink water first and get up and move around.
@kelsi_danielle
@kelsi_danielle Год назад
Perfect advice for someone who has not had bariatric surgery. I'm fully aware that keto is a lifestyle change and I have made those changes. The snacks that I do have are healthy snacks and are meal prepped and fit within my nutritional guidelines and macros. I walk over 10,000 steps a day, There are days where I rarely get under that amount. I'd be lying if I said that I ate perfect everyday but that's not the kind of person that I am. Protein shakes are vital for bariatric patients pre and post-op life. My suggestion for you would be to educate yourself a little more on what the bariatric nutritional intake needs should be. I think it's imperative that you understand the nature of a bariatric lifestyle before suggesting things that are asinine. Thank you so much for watching my videos.
