The stares I get from doing that cable row thing at my gym 😂 I thought I created that , I guess I'm not the only one who does it . I like it for the slight overload you can do , and the constant tension .
Kinda felt like the primary advantage to the last bench machine was the option to go heavy/to failure without a spotter - not so much for corrective movement. All other reasons aside, I have to train alone, so having that option would be nice. Though most any machine press allows for that too so... yeah.. I dunno. Some machines just feel better than others based on your anatomical make-up. That and companies keep trying to make new and different to sell product.
But how would it land on his neck if hes using the same equipment tho? And besides that i think its a little different to anticipate and counter an impact from regular pushing. Still dont know if its an impactful workout or not but still looks cool 😂
Here's an idea for you before you criticize how someone chooses to train or the exercises they do take off your shirt and have a good look in the mirror if you don't look like him well proof's in the puddin
@@DINGO_warrior actually I love big Mike but I gotta call'em like I see'em and I've never seen him without a shirt so I've never seen his ripped 8 pack
@andrewsherman2398 He doesn't compete anymore and says all the time he doesn't care about being lean at this point in his life. His advice is about building muscle. He clearly knows his shit regardless of whether he has a sixpack or not
A gentleman at the gym yesterday wanted to try and tell me that I was doing shrugs wrong. He claimed that he’s been a personal trainer his entire life. I immediately pulled up your channel to set him straight 😅 debunking at its finest
I'm in my 40s and been going to gyms since the 90s. Lol I can see why Mike thinks this way about gyms with beginner gym people under 30. I see so much comedy in the gym lol with tripods and dudes who jam the dumbbell area with "arms above elbow day" which is the only part they train. Then the girls who go in groups do bend over with weights wearing tights regardless of the females weight and build. This is only part of my gym disgust. What about beginners busting out a set of half hearted arm circles hahahaa like it's just stupidity lifting zero weights.
I've just recently rejoined Facebook after a 3 year sabbatical. Wawl. The amount of know it alls that keep popping up on reels, telling me "STOP" Doing my incline fly's like this. "STOP" Doing this that and the other. Or literally trying to reinvent the wheel. Fk off! I'll stick to the tried and tested basics.
It's pretty hilarious last night I saw a guy in a sweatshirt with a tripod set up. Some kind of bent over barbell row which he was obviously a beginner. So obese guys walk in off the street and wear sweatshirts now lol film their pretend workouts.
That Macc truck looter says he's going to catch you in the parking lot at the Olympia. I'd only tip him like 5 bucks for watching my car but that's just me😂
All Of these new gym ideas started with social media so people can get views. They make up nonsense and slap science based on it. The wrong channels have all the subscribers. People are so blinded and stupid they get sucked in. Mike should have a million followers for what he’s teaching about movement but it’s to factual and boring really and people would rather do these crazy things thinking they are working harder.
