Is it ok to drink that water stew (boiled water of gree mooong). with adding lemon juices and black salt and some chat masala after eating that boiled stuff.
Great question. Traditionally, it was thrown out as they say it can cause stomach discomfort like gassiness in some people (all lentils and beans have this effect!). I have added this water to soups and curries, but I never had any issues. Your recipe sounds delicious. I'd say go for it!
i personally don’t like cheesecake, however, my parents dogs had a litter of puppies and my son named the puppy going to his dads house Muffin after he character on Bluey, so my dad called one of the other pups Cheesecake… 9 months later here we are with 3 dogs, Mickey Marley and Cheesecake 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a lovely soothing voice! thank you so much for your easy recipe as always and the tips going to make this for the daughter in the uS now. love and best wishes🥰
Hello 👋 and thank you for watching. When seasoning an (unglazed) water pot, you only need to soak it in water for 12 to 24 hours. Then wipe the outside and let it completely air dry. Fill with water and leave for several hours. Then discard this water and refill. You can now drink/use the pot starting with the refill water. Note that clay water pots should be cleaned very frequently to prevent it slime from forming. Hope this helps.
Avoid sugary, pasteurized commercial juices. It is easy to make healthy juice at home using the juicer like this one (Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer). Grab your veggies and fruit and in under a minute you can have an amazing , healthy juice!

Made this tonight and it was super delicious!! My Sri Lankan boyfriend loved it and so did I! Thank you so much for this great recipe. 🤗 I’ll be sticking to this biriyani recipe from now on 🤤😋
Oh, how lovely! Thank you for trying out the recipe. I am so happy you guys enjoyed the biryani! Let me know what you will be making next! Stay connected ❤️
Is it okay to season the pot multiple times? The reason is I have no idea if the seller seasoned it before shipping it to me. Also, can I do this to black claypots as well? Thanj you so much!
You only need to season it once. Normally, these pots are not seasoned by a seller. Test and see by measuring some water into the pot and observe for 15 minutes. If the pot has not been seasoned, you will see a pool of water under the pot. The water level in the pot will also have reduced quite a bit in a short time. A seasoned pot will retain the water. There will not be a visibly reduced water level. Hope this helps.
Hi! sorry got one more question. if i want to half the recipe just to try out first, what size pan do u recommend? I always prefer those perfect square ones. Thanks
Always loved your recipes! This can be kept for a year without alcohol? How to store it, room temperature ok or needs to be refrigerated? Also can please share the measurement for the marzipan? Can i also store the cake covered with marzipan?
Thank you! It means a lot to me ❤️. This cake can be kept for a year or longer at room temperature and always in a cool, dry, and dark place; like inside a light-proof container or in a cabinet. There is enough sugar to preserve it, so even without alcohol it will be fine. I did not measure the icing, sorry. Usually, I mix equal parts almond meal & icing sugar, 1 teaspoon Almond Extract and 2 tablespoons rose water. As I keep mixing it into a paste I will add more of the rose water or Almond meal or icing sugar to adjust the flavor and texture. It should be firm enough like a dough to be able to roll it out. Hope this helps.
Hi @christinaalexander1141, the ideal pan size for this quantity is 9 x13. To help bake the cake evenly and for the long bake-time, I recommend a non-stick pan which feels heavy. Avoid light-weight pans as it will burn the cake. Let me know when you do try it!
Good morning sister. Hello. I hope you are having an amazing day! These little cakes look so tasty. I am coming over with a pitcher of coffee. Thanks so much for the tease. Sandee
Hi 👋, yes, you can use on a gas hob, and no, you do not need to put in the oven. Skip this step entirely if you wish. Only soak the pot and cook something in it after it has completely air dried. Or else the pot will crack due to thermal shock going from soaking to hot stove too soon.
I bought myself a new clay pot and washed it before using and pat it dry with my kitchen towel and started sautéing my aromatics halfway during the sauté I heard a very loud Crack and some oil and ingredients came up flying all over my kitchen, I knew something bad just happened to the pot but with that misfortune I am still interested in getting another one and be able to cook with it hopefully i just wish I found your video earlier that I don't have to damage a really good clay pot
Oh no! Sorry that it happened to you. Thank you for sharing your experience. It will be helpful to others too. Seasoning the pot and preventing thermal shock are important to know. Glad you plan to try again! Feel free to reach out if you have questions ❤️
