Hi, I'm Nil and upload videos on all things movement. From breakdown videos, short tutorials, practice insights, collaborations with peers in the broad field of movement and much more.
“Through my work I want to inspire and guide people to create a movement practice for themselves that enables them to explore the world and their body in the fullest way and facilitates health, personal growth and creativity.” - Nil
I like your breakdown of the anatomy of a roll. That's a principle I use for everything I teach. So you don't teach the "what you have to do" but you teach the basics and leave room for individual exploration.
@@BenjaminJaksch thanks brother! I remember our talks about learning, your learning compass and so on. Cool to see how both of us brought these ideas to fruition in our own ways!!
i really enjoy watching and hopefully learn from you, i am 52 yrs old. im a pro movement enthusiast and your VIDEOTUTORIA is one of my inspiration. your videos are really worth watching and i really love watching them. P U G A Y ( SALUTE/SALUD)
FINALLY DONE 🔥 This one took a while to finish - hope you’ll like it! Next week on Tuesday I will share a 30 minute FREE masterclass on rolling here on the channel - looking forwards?
Woah, this video really clicked something in my mind. I was familiar with the concept of rolling and here and then incorporated it in my practice before, but seeing you perform all kinds of rolls out of all kinds of movements is really impressive. It seems like you do not have to practice combining specific rolls with specific movements anymore but rather are able to apply any role out of any given movement. This seems like a goal worth pursuing :D Thanks for the video, really inspiring!
Hey, cheers! Glad it triggered something in you.. a sign that I managed to put some soul in there! ;) Indeed, it's mostly trying and seeing what will work.. some skills DO require a lot of effort skill but mostly I can apply here and there!
I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for this video 🙏. I’ve been just beginning to explore rolling (and I mean BEGINNING) at age 67, and this video is exactly the inspiration (and lessons) I needed. The fact that it’s also a beautiful piece of filmmaking is ❤️❤️❤️🫣. Just… thank-you. (And for context, I was a hard-core sponsored skateboarder where rolling was a required skill, but that was 40+ years ago 😳. Spent the last four decades trying to NOT fall, but I was given a bouldering wall in my barn for my birthday, and I reckon it’s time to rediscover a love of (and skill for) rolling.
What a lovely message! Thank you for taking time to write it. Really glad this video can be of this much inspiration to you, wonderful. Let's keep it up, eh! Also: next week on tuesday a full 30 min Masterclass on Rolling will follow.. check it out, too! :) All the best, Kathy!
@@NilTeisner I really like your kind of analytical perspective that stays away from being too dry by including lots of curiosity, freedom and exploration. And it's obvious you had a lot of fun editing this one :) Awesome work Nil!

Love it! I would recommend you to make the videos movement specific, for example "Movement teacher reviews butterfly kick attempts" so people know which movement you're reviewing. Other than that it's a really helpful format. If your participants are up for it you could also involve them in the conversation.
Cheers Ben, good idea! I think narrowing the topic too far down would be maybe a bit too specific - but I’ll think of ways on how to make them more specific.. Including in what sense? :)
Love the new video format Nil! I see that it generates a ton of value for the viewer. Demystifying acrobatics 🔥 Definitely a format I want to try for my subscribers in the future 💙
Hi! I recently find your channel and I got really inspired and motivated to restructure my workouts a bit to cover more movement like yours. My workouts are already bodyweight centered and I do a fair bit of flexibility and working on skills like handstand and flips. I wonder if you got the strength needed by practicing movement and flow alone, or do you sometimes also do more pure strength building sessions? I mean do you e.g. do train pull ups and push ups? 🙂 All the best.
Hey there! :) Thanks for the itnro and great question. YES, I do strength train. Apart from my rich backgorund in crossfit, weightlifting, gymanstics etc nowadays I mainly do bodyweight strength (pullups, muscle ups, etc) and sometimes some loaded work (barbells, people, kettlebells...). Also if I do parkour I do specific stregnth work and also for my acro practice I do specific conditioning routines :) I had some years wihtout any strength training but after picking it up again, I feel a. bit goes a long way .
Very good love your videos and they give me lots of inspiration and ideas as I add more ground movement and acrobatic flow to my practice, I also practice calisthenics and primal/natural movement especially out in nature and am 60, this style of training keeps me “young” and alive . Keep up the great content love it!🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🔥👊💯💪
